Description and Features Click here for the video tutorial This baseline scanning tool allows you to easily create and compare baseline scans. The built in reporting engine creates easy to read reports showing you exactly what changes have occurred, making the process of tracking changes quick and easy. No messy search strings or confusing filters like other products; this application is entirely point and click. A scan consists of three main parts: File System Items File System Items are paths within the file system where scanning is to begin. For example you can scan all drives or just specific directories across multiple drives. You can also specify that the application will scan all files, sub folders, and access control lists giving you a detailed view of the file system. Registry Items The registry is the heart of any windows operating system; one small change could have a big impact on the system. Registry items are paths within the registry to begin scanning, for example you can scan a specific registry key (and sub-keys) or the entire registry. WMI Items Windows Management Instrumentation is an interface to the information buried deep within the operating system; it covers everything from the BIOS to Network Shares. This application comes with over 50 built in WMI queries allowing you to scan and monitor even the hard to find information about the operating system and its settings. Items that have changed are highlighted making it trivial to find out what has changed. On the report, the actual unfiltered data is displayed, so the system administrator instantly has the information they need to troubleshoot the system. Scan files are in XML format so the data within can easily be imported and used by other applications and reporting tools. Reports are created as web pages, making viewing and distributing them a snap. This program only scans the computer it is installed on; future versions will allow scanning of other computers, and an entire enterprise.
